Hello Play As One Family,
Last Friday was our last competition night of the season. On behalf of Play As One, I wanted to thank you all so much for joining us on this COVID-style soccer adventure. I saw so many people having a good time as they worked hard, lived pure, lead with courage, and honored our King. A special thank you to our coaches for guiding our players closer to the Lord.
This past week we continued our series called, “Crazy Love” which is based on the book with the same title by Francis Chan. In this short video, Francis shares how people are serving the Lord out of love for Christ.
Here’s a link to the last video of the Crazy Love series.
Over the past weeks, we have been discussing what it means to love God and how to show God’s love to others. In all fairness, we’ve only just touched the surface. God’s love for us is unfathomable. He loved us while we were yet sinners.
Romans 5:8 - 8 but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
What are we doing to show His love to others? My challenge to myself and others is the following: start looking for the small ways we can help. Make it a habit of looking for ways to serve, encourage, and help one another. I believe we don’t have to look very far. I know for myself it’s looking for the everyday things to help around the house. Of course, all of this is done out of love.
When we deliberately begin to love one another the way Christ loved us, I believe we are creating wonderful habits that will guide us to do even more wonderful things for the King. What great habits can we form to show our love for the Lord and others?
I hope you all have a wonderful week.
