10.30.20 - Competition Game Night 06
Hello Play As One Family,
This Friday we will be having our regular competition soccer night; however, there is a big party happening the same night!
I am so excited to announce that this Friday, October 30th is Emmanuel Faith's Harvest Drive-Thru! Drive through the church parking lots and play games to win candy and prizes with your kids aged 2 years old through 6th grade. Decorate your cars! Kids are invited to wear their best costumes! I suggest 5th and 6th graders enjoy the party first and then play their soccer game. WE ARE ASKING ALL FAMILIES TO PARK IN EFCC'S SOUTH PARKING LOT ON FRIDAY NIGHT BECAUSE OF THE HARVEST DRIVE-THRU (PLEASE SEE THE FIRST "DID YOU KNOW (DYK 01) BELOW THIS EMAIL FOR A MAP OF THE PARKING LOT LOCATION).
Love. It’s a small word with incredible power. We say it all the time… “I love pizza. I love my friends. I love my wife. I love the Lord.” Such a powerful word with so many meanings. I would like to think that my love of pizza is much different than my love for my friends. The Ancient Greeks had different words for love so they could differentiate between, for example, a love for a brother compared to the love of a spouse.
God’s love is called “agape”; the highest form of love. God’s love is unconditional. Amen! Romans 8:38-39 states,
“ For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Nothing can separate us from His love. Knowing this fact of God’s agape love, let’s run to His open arms and receive it and then live it out for others to see. Remember, no situation can separate us from Christ. If things are rough in life, rest in Him, give thanks for He is good, and let Jesus comfort you. If things are going great, praise Him and again, give Him thanks. Our God is love. Praise Him!
