Hello Play As One Family,

I am so excited to announce that this Friday, October 23rd is PICTURE DAY!  Please arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled game time.  Our friends and professional photographers Tony and Karen Rehm will be taking individual photos up in the Kids Faith Building.  Please check in first and then we will guide you to the photo location.

This past week, our friend, Pastor Ryan Paulson shared a message encouraging all of us to give to God our very best.  What does that look like in our daily lives?  Admittedly, I tend to think about the Lord as I rush out the door to begin my day, but I struggle to slow down and spend some time with Him.  I definitely could talk to Him more and here’s a big one for me… set time to simply listen to Him.  Am I the only one?  I’m guessing I am not.  

In this day and age, we have much to aid us with connecting with our Lord (like technology), and yet the same things can also distract us.  Maybe I/we should step away from our phones or computers a little more.  Maybe I/we should turn off the radio in the car for a moment.  Maybe I/we should just stop once in a while and just look around at what God has created.

As I write this I’m feeling I might be coming off as “preachy”.  Know that’s not might goal.  I’m just thinking about what I need to do.  If you have a solid routine with spending time with the Lord, Amen!  Keep going!  For those who struggle a little bit with putting an emphasis on spending time with the Lord, know that you’re not alone.  Take baby steps towards your goal.  I thank Jesus that He is patient and is excited to spend time with us.

5:00 PM - 1st and 2nd Graders
6:00 PM - 3rd and 4th Graders
7:00 PM - 5th and 6th Graders
8:00 PM - 7th and 8th Graders

Our practice schedule will continue to be the following:
First and second graders will practice every Tuesday from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM (beginning on September 15th).
Third and fourth graders will practice every Tuesday from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM (beginning on September 15th)
Fifth and sixth graders will practice every Thursday from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM (beginning on September 17th).
Seventh and eighth graders will practice every Thursday from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM (beginning on September 17th)
