Field of Faith Families,
We are looking forward to meeting you and welcoming you to the 2020 Field of Faith Winter Season Sunday January 5th at 1:00PM. We will meet at Emmanuel Faith Community Church (639 E 17th Ave, Escondido, CA 92025) in the Faith Kids Warehouse. We will hand out t-shirts, introduce coaches and discuss goals and purpose of our winter season. This meeting is for 1st through 8th grade families and should last no longer than 45 minutes.
Our volunteer based organization is so excited to partner with families like yours to reach our community with the Gospel. Please join us by inviting your neighbors and friends to come “Play as One” as we honor Jesus Christ on and off the playing field (Scholarships are available : email requests to email@example.com)
In closing, on an athletic field two of the most powerful words are "Coach Says.” As coaches we have a great opportunity to speak into the lives of our athletes. But with this influence comes great responsibilities. We can be transactional in the lives of our athletes or we can be transformational. Transactional coaching focuses on the athletes performance only, where transformational coaching focuses on helping the athlete grow as a whole person and helping them to see God’s plan for their lives.
NPR did a piece recently on "The 3 Scariest Words A Boy Can Hear."
The question is... are we as parents, coaches, and people of influence transactional or transformational? May God grant us the wisdom, discernment and strength to equip our children with the tools to one day be great husbands and fathers… Great wives and mothers who love the Lord our/their God with all their heart and with all their soul and with all their strength and with all their mind (Luke 10:27).
