In closing, I was reflecting on the Field of Faith motto of “Play as One,”  and I was reminded that there is such an innate drive in each of us to play and have fun.  There is an old saying “ People don’t stop playing because they are old, they get old because they stop playing.” 

I read an article by Mark Hull on this topic of play.  It was titled “Just Let Them Play."

There is joy in playing and there is joy in sports and athletics.  Let’s bring the joy back to our sports culture and continue to “Play as One" for the "Holy One!"
